SN&N Electronics has a broad spectrum of knowledge and design experience that spans fundamental physics, human physiology, DNA amplification techniques (PCR) through all aspects of electrical engineering, culminating in proficiency to construct precise and compact computer code for control of complex biomedical systems.  These skills are at the core of the SN&N engineering team.  Dr. Saraf works side-by-side on the bench with his team insisting on excellence every step of the process. 

SN&N has designed products for numerous biomedical companies such as Cepheid, Miramar Labs, Boston Scientific, EBR Systems, Integrated Nano-Technologies, among others.  We take the product development from concept, hardware and software system architecture design, prototyping, lab testing, compliance testing, validation and verification (V&V) to product release. Integrated Nano-Technologies: INT-PALLADIUM Turnkey Design

Project Duration: 2017 - Current

Turnkey product development including specifications, system architecture design, thermal cycler and ultrasonic horn driver design, prototyping, electronic design, PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly, firmware development, top level software, GUI design, Android application of a fully automated DNA analysis instrument using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This instrument performs the entire genetic identification process automatically and confirms the presence of a targeted pathogen.

CEPHEID CORPORATION: OMNI® AND OMEGA® TURNKEY DESIGN

Project Duration: 2010 - 2017

Complete turnkey design including design specifications, system architecture, electronic design, optical design, firmware development, operating system, cloud connection and wireless operation of the next generation of the highly successful GeneXpert®, a fully automated DNA analysis instrument using polymerase chain reaction (PCR).  This instrument performs the entire genetic identification process automatically and confirms the presence of a targeted nucleic acid sequence.

EBR SYSTEMS: Dual-band wireless PROGRAMMER FOR CARDIAC PACEMAKERS

MIRAMAR LABS: DESIGNed ELECTRONICS FOR THREE GENERATIONS of instruments for sweat gland reduction

Project Duration: 2009-2011

Designed mixed-signal integrated electronics, FPGA code, microwave delivery and power electronics for three generations of high-power microwave generators. Precision digital servos in FPGAs control microwave power delivery to 0.2dbm and thermoelectric-based heat exchangers ensure safe and efficient delivery of microwave energy to human tissue. Patented design is used for sweat-gland reduction.
